Ida Brabrand is a lawyer in Brækhus’ department of Employment. Her practice focuses on assisting companies and private individuals in serious whistleblowing cases, such as matters of harassment and #Metoo. Ida also assists employers and employees in handling other personnel-related matters, drafting employment contracts and planning and effectuating downsizing or terminations/dismissals. Ida is a trained journalist with a degree from the Norwegian College of Journalism and has five years’ experience as a journalist working in television and radio. Her background makes her particularly well-suited to conduct fact-finding studies in employment-related matters.
Due to her background as both a journalist and a lawyer, Ida is also an adept in press laws and legal issues pertaining to privacy and the media’s freedom of expression.
Ida is an associated member of Brækhus’ department of Family, Inheritance and Child law and assists clients with parental disputes, financial settlements after divorces and dissolved cohabitations, as well as inheritance-related matters. This work includes the preparation of cohabitation agreements, prenuptial agreements, wills and power of attorneys.
