Christian Bendiksen is head of the Technology Industry & Trade department.
Bendiksen is a Norwegian attorney and a qualified English solicitor with extensive international experience, including international contract negotiations, cross-border public procurement and dispute resolution.
He has assisted foreign clients with most categories of procurement procedures; from ordinary tenders to competitive dialogue and in an extensive range of markets. He provides advice for clients engaged in complex procurement strategy, has assessed the scope of security exemptions and secret tendering criteria for the Central Bank of Norway, and assisted defence suppliers in a broad range of markets and procurement procedures, from defence tendering under the ordinary procurement rules, to acquisition of materiel under restricted procedures.
Bendiksen has a thorough understanding of Norwegian and EEA/EU competition law. He has assisted clients with issues regarding abuse of dominant position, shaping technology transfer, cooperation and distribution agreements, leniency applications under EEA and Norwegian law and compliance with undertakings accepted by the commission. He has also been appointed monitoring trustee by the Norwegian Competition Authority and was among the first to notify a merger under the new, increased turnover thresholds.
