Pamir Ehsas

Pamir Ehsas is an associate in Brækhus’ department of Technology, Industry and Trade. Pamir assist in matters pertaining to IT contracts, data privacy, public procurement, information security, data mining and other issues related to law and technology.

Pamir has a master’s degree in law from the University of Oslo with a specialisation in technology law. His master’s thesis focused on copyright regulations for commercial data mining [scraping]. In addition, Pamir has a secondary master’s degree from the University of Oxford in public policy, where technology was a central part of the master’s degree. This applies in particular to public policy assessments of digitalisation, information security and big data.

Pamir has demonstrated an out-of-the-ordinary commitment to public service. As the founder and leader of Brighter Tomorrow, he has secured the education of over 2,200 children in Afghanistan, as well as developed the first EdTech platform in Afghanistan. His advocacy work includes being a columnist for Aftenposten, and participating in parliamentary hearings and UN assemblies. This effort has led to his work being recognized with awards presented by the UN, HE Crown Prince Haakon, DN, Finansavisen, E24, Amnesty, and Forbes (finalist).
