These processes can effect both private persons and business, and the land acquisition can include everything from the entire property, including buildings, to only a small portion of a plot. In addition, private landowners can request expropriation in some cases, e.g. according to the Public Roads Act. Expropriation and appraisement is therefore a nuanced field that often addresses complex issues. Additionally, the process can be perceived as troublesome for those who must involuntarily sell their property. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We assist landowners in all types of cases related to expropriation and appraisement, both individuals and businesses. We have broad expertise and extensive experience in consulting, negotiations, conflict resolution, and regularly litigate appraisement cases in court.<\/p>\n<p>We assisted a large group of landowners regarding the construction of the new airport at Gardermoen, and numerous other landowners concerning various railway developments. Our lawyers also have a wide range of experience with the expropriation of commercial property.<\/p>\n<p>Our lawyers now assist the majority of landowners affected by the building of the new E18 in B\u00e6rum municipality, as well as a variety of landowners and enterprises which are affected by the development of the Follo railway.
