Br\u00e6khus\u00a0is proud to announce that our firm has been awarded a strong tier 2 ranking in the reputable publication International Tax Review 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n

International\u00a0Tax Review has released its 2018 edition of its World Tax Guide, an annual comprehensive guide to the world\u2019s leading firms and lawyers within the field of taxation and duties. The recognition is based on nominations from clients and lawyers in other law firms who consider the candidate to have distinguished themselves in their field.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the ranking, tax department head Antonio Holstad stated: \u201cThis is a great achievement that illustrates our in-depth understanding of our client\u2019s issues and objectives, as well as our ability to provide practical and sound legal advice. We are delighted with the ranking, which further reinforce our position as a leading law firm in the field of taxation and duties\u201d.<\/p>\n

Extract from the International Tax Review describing Br\u00e6khus: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Antonio Holstad is the head of the tax department at Br\u00e6khus, particularly overseeing direct tax services. He works closely with fellow partner Nils Eriksen, who has more than 25 years of experience and heads the indirect tax group. The practice consists of four partners and 10 other professionals.<\/em><\/p>\n

Br\u00e6khus offers clients a wide range of tax services, including specialist VAT advice and international and corporate tax law. Another important team member is John Spiss\u00f8y, who oversees corporate tax services. He previously worked for Deloitte Norway in charge of tax services to the oil and gas industry. Spiss\u00f8y specialises in the energy industry, where he has served major multinational clients.<\/em><\/p>\n

Br\u00e6khus has strong expertise in EU and EEA tax law, especially with regard to tax disputes and litigation, including cases at the EFTA court. The firm\u2019s client base includes major trading platforms for Nordic oil and gas.<\/em><\/p>\n
